12/28/17, Maine First Media Staff Report,
Democrat New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo is pardoning from prison, 18 immigrants who faced deportation.
Gov. Cuomo’s move is seen as a middle finger to President Donald Trump’s strict immigration policies. Cuomo could be one of the Leftist contenders challenging President Trump for the White House in 2020.
Cuomo tweeted Wednesday, “While the federal government continues to target immigrants and threatens to tear families apart with deportation, these actions take a critical step toward a more just, more fair and more compassionate New York.”
Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, California’s Democrat Governor, Jerry Brown proved Leftist minds think alike when he pardoned two convicted criminal immigrants from Columbia earlier this week.
Gov. Brown’s move has been attacked by a California father whose son was killed by an illegal alien. The father says Brown is making California less safe.
The retaliation efforts by Cuomo, Brown and other open-border Leftist are likely to have little impact on President Trump’s America First Agenda or his immigration policies.
The Trump Administration has made immigration policy a focal point of the America First agenda. So far, the Justice Department has moved toward merit-based immigration. Prototypes are under construction for the Great Wall of Trump. A temporary Travel Ban has been issued for travelers from six mostly-Muslim countries. And efforts are underway to defund Harboring Havens (or as the open-borders crowd likes to call them, “sanctuary cities”).
