Tillerson Out, Pompeo in as Secretary of State

3/13/18, Maine First Media Staff Report,

President Donald Trump has fired his Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson.

Fox News is reporting the firing came Tuesday morning following Tillerson’s Africa trip.

President Trump cited policy disagreements as the reason for the dismissal.

The President will appoint current CIA Director, Mike Pompeo as the next Secretary of State.

Pompeo’s deputy, Gina Haspel will be promoted to the Director spot. Haspel is now the first woman ever nominated to be Director of the CIA.

Both appointments will require confirmation from the Senate. Once Tillerson leaves his post, Deputy Secretary John Sullivan will act as  Secretary until the confirmation.

President Trump pointed to the Iran deal — struck by President Barack Obama and then-Secretary of State John Kerry — as one of the major areas of disagreement between himself and Tillerson. President Trump says the deal is terrible, while Tillerson didn’t think it was that bad.

According to President Trump, he and Pompeo have a “similar thought process,” and are “on the same wavelength.”

The President is said to have wanted his new team in place before his upcoming trade meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jung Un.

  1. If Tillerson doesn’t think the Iran deal was a bad one, that’s reason enough for President Trump to fire him. NSA, H.R. McMaster, should be next who thinks the same as Tillerson on the deal, but also for NOT recognizing the growing threat of Sharia-supremacism and stealth jihad. Claiming that Muslim terrorists are “really un-Islamic” is as out of touch as DNI, James Clapper’s, quote that the Muslim Brotherhood is a “largely secular movement which has eschewed violence”. (Btw, our illustrious Senator King has said the same). Drain the Swamp!
